This photo was taken on San Nicola Beach – I was already in love with the place… Fiore just didn’t know it yet.
Behind every restaurant is a story. This is ours.
Our story begins in Peschici, a small village on the beautiful Gargano Peninsula in Puglia. It was here that Karin, originally from Austria, met Fiore, an Italian chef with a passion for cooking and decades of experience in the restaurant industry.
What began as a simple encounter soon grew into something much bigger. Between the Salzkammergut and the Gargano, between Austria and Southern Italy, a love story was born – for life, for Italian cuisine and for each other.
For several years, we lived between two countries, until this bond led to a shared dream: opening a restaurant by the sea.
Two passions – one shared project
Fiore is a passionate Italian chef with over 40 years of culinary experience. For more than 25 years, he ran an Italian restaurant in Austria, delighting guests with authentic dishes, Mediterranean flavours and his warm, humorous personality.
I’m Karin, from Austria, and I have worked as a media designer for many years. Creativity, design and concept development are part of my professional journey. I love creating atmospheres and bringing spaces to life through design, ideas and attention to detail.
Together, we are a team that complements each other perfectly:
Fiore with his passion for cooking, and me with my enthusiasm for design, organisation and the overall experience that surrounds the restaurant.
A memory from the early days – when everything was still just a dream.
The perfect place by the sea
The dream of having our own restaurant led us to a location that couldn’t be more perfect: Lido Aurora, on San Nicola Beach in Peschici. Here, right by the sea, AMORE & FRIENDS Beach Restaurant & Bar was born – a place where people meet, share moments, dine together and experience the Italian way of life.
The location belongs to Tommaso, Fiore’s childhood friend. They both grew up in Peschici and have known this beach for a lifetime. Today, a shared story brings them together once again – this time around a seaside restaurant.

That’s why, at AMORE & FRIENDS, we speak multiple languages: Italian, German and English.

Today, at AMORE & FRIENDS at Lido Aurora, near Peschici, we serve Mediterranean cuisine with fresh seafood, pasta and Apulian specialties.
